Ri RiIn order to truly understand my love affair with the fabulous Rihanna, you first have to understand my journey to becoming a Rihanna stan.

Contrary to the normal stans, I was not always on Rihanna’s band wagon. I remember when she first came out with Pon De Replay all I could think about when I saw the video was “Oh I have those earrings”. Mind you, I still love those big silver earrings even though I lost mine years ago. Either way, I thought the song was catchy and I thought she was pretty, but I was not a fan YET.

As time went on I still never jumped on the band wagon. When she revamped her image and her direction with her album Good Girl Gone Bad, I liked her as an artist much more and thought her style was cool, but still I would never say I was a fan.

After Good Girl Gone Bad, in my opinion, Rihanna just blossomed into who she really wanted to be. That was illustrated in her music, clothes and especially her hair. I remember when she started rocking her bright red hair color which I hated when I first saw it. I used to say”Ugh I like her, but this hair color I can’ttttt”. Then one random day after watching the video”What’s my name” featuring Drake I had a new found respect for her hair color. Crazy enough it was something that small that made me start to like her more. I was so impressed with how bold she was to just go for it even though the reactions behind it were good and bad. Probably more bad than good. I was like here is a girl that does what she wants, when she wants to and does not care what others think. Gotta love bold chicks.

“I especially love her hair color with the purple crop top and orange pants. Crop, tailored and chic. Love this outfit. Let’s also not forget the red hair with the nude/beige outfit. I live for Rihanna’s style. Seriously!”

Anyway, from that moment on I fell for Ri Ri. As an artist (love all her albums….how can you not?), as a person (she’s just herself and MAKES NO APOLOGIES about it), and last, but not least as a fashionista. In my opinion, Rihanna treats her style like she treats herself. She has the utmost respect for clothes, wears what she wants, what looks good on her and does not care what other people think. I’m so obsessed with Rihanna, the fashion icon, that I have a board dedicated to her on Pinterest. For those that know me, know how much I adore my Pinterest boards. I felt Rihanna was deserving of her own board because to me her style is awesome.

Clearly, I’m a Rihanna stan.

Do not get me wrong, would I wear everything she wears? Probably. Could I? Definitely not lol, but every piece she rocks is lust worthy. Her style and the confidence she embodies is so impressive and refreshing. Being the Rihanna stan I am you know I supported her show”Styled to Rock” and it was clear to me that Ri Ri takes clothes very seriously. Fashion is art and style is what you make it. She does all of that and thensome which is why she’s a fashionista who rocks. It would be an extreme deservice to not feature her as my last and absolute favorite fashionista in the March Fashionista Chronicles edition of singers/entertainers.

Do you think Rihanna’s style rocks?
