Hervé Léger Fall 2016 R-T-W collection oozed “bad ass” girl with a downtown punk vibe. The collection, filled with hardware, took their chic bandage aesthetic to another level. Beautiful bold patterns were seen throughout the collection in an assortment of color combinations such as white and black, red, orange and blue, and interesting white and grey dresses as standout pieces. The one shoulder, fitted dress with fringe cut outs made a statement on the runway. I could easily see someone like Rihanna doing justice to this piece dressed up or down. Embellishments and the placement of the patterns rounded out the cohesion of this collection. This was particularly noted in a pale pink A line dress with silver detail and in the structured black, gold and red racerfront dress. Outerwear also made an appearance following the same vibe, which we saw in the all black look with studded pants and paired wit an amazing coat. These pieces really gave modern grunge a new meaning.
