Seriously, the weather in New York City is OUT OF CONTROL. I know it’s winter and we should expect this, but I truly feel it has been colder than previous winters. The colder it gets here the more I contemplate moving to a warmer climate. I am just not cut out for the cold like I used to be. With that being said, knitwear has been my best friend through these cold times. Not only are knitwear pieces comfortable, for the most part, but they can also be chic and used in a variety of ways. Gone are the days where a chunky sweater is meant only for casual attire. Knitwear pieces can be worn casually on the weekend, perfect for a dressy event or date night and a great option for work attire if done correctly.

Knit Chicness

Knit Chicness by yannid featuring a black midi skirt

This off the shoulder “Love” sweater adds a pop of color to any look. Pairing this with a metallic midi skirt and pumps takes the sweater to a flirty level. Finishing the look off with some interesting jewelry pieces, a clever clutch and some hair accessories will give you a posh and trendy look in a comfortable sweater.

A good structured pant paired with a blazer is a great combo for a winning look (with fit being the key of course). I specifically adore these trousers because the pastel pink is soft and chic. I chose to continue with the chicness by adding a soft grey sweater to layer with. This look is finished with metallic pumps, silver and pearl accessories with a matching pastel bag which gives it a tailored, bold and feminine feel.

I love a fierce weekend look and this cream sweater was my base for pulling this one together. This look is comfortable with easy sophistication perfect for weekend activities beginning on Friday. The contrast of the colors only enhance the sultriness of the look.

Are you loving what the knits say?
