I live for fashion (clothes, shoes, accessories), but makeup is a heavy runner up. Can I do my own makeup? Ofcourse. Can I make it look great? Definitely, but I’m no professional. I am blessed to have a few personal makeup artists in my life that I can always call to hook me up when I need those extra glam moments.

However, on an everyday basis I have to hook myself up. I am always interested in trying new looks and adding to my makeup collection. So today while visiting a few stores I made a pit stop at MAC Cosmetics to see one of my favorite artist for a quick consultation on nude lips. I am really loving the nude lip look, but I have been hesitant to try it. Although there are different shades of lipsticks for all complexions, I feel like red and nudes are the trickiest. It’s like finding the perfect shoe, it has to fit just right. I am sure some of you can relate which is why I wanted to share the products I got in case fear was holding you back from trying the nude lip. You should definitely try several on before finding the right shades for you, but at least these provide a general idea of what to look for. I really wanted to find shades that complimented my brown skin and did not come off white and wash me out.

My MAC Shopping Bag:

Mineralize Rich Lipstick / Pure Pout

Lipglass / Viva Glam V

Plushglass / Ample Pink

(I use regularly)

Pro Longwear Lip Pencil / Etcetera

(also lip pencil Cork which I already use frequently)

Last, but not least we cannot forget a lip primer which is always necessity

I loved the outcome and will definitely be doing the nude lip more often. Definitely try the nude lip if you haven’t already. Let me know if it’s a success.
