Last week I took a work trip to the west coast, San Diego to be exact, for my 9 to 5. After my meetings wrapped up there was a beach party to conclude the trip. I opted for a casual chiffon maxi dress adorned with accessories and flip flops.
I actually purchased this dress about a year and a half ago during a sale on Lulus.com. As I’ve mentioned before buying things and keeping them on hand is a norm for me. When I saw the dress I knew it would come in handy one day and it was exactly the look I was going for that night. I even had it altered when I purchased it so that it would be ready to wear whenever the time came. For this entire trip I shopped from my closet and finally got to wear some new items that were purchased a while ago as well. This just goes to show that shopping from your closet is never a waste of time.
So this black chiffon maxi dress is equipped with two side slits and a zip in the back. I paired it with a gold plated belt (never worn). Gold ear cuff earrings complimented my up do along with a fringe bracelet (never worn), a fun star bangle, sunnies, flower embellished flip flops, a clutch, and a beautiful purple lip.
