A few days ago I had the pleasure of attending an event for the launch of Manhattan Motorcars Inc in midtown. My former supervisor (from my Cadillac advertising days) and friend assisted in the planning and it really was a fabulous event. The cars were gorgeous, the people were fabulous and the menu was delectable. Overall, we (my plus one) had a great time. My sole purpose for attending was to catch up with my former supervisor and everything else was a pleasurable bonus.
Of course with any event comes outfit of the day pics. Since the sun sets around 6 these days I wanted to get some photos in during the day before heading off to the event. My goal for the day was work chicness. After the 9-5 grind sometimes it is hard to even think about being glam for an event, but I figured if I started off on the right foot everything would come together.
We all know I love a great LBD and one could NEVER have too many (check out my post here). So when I walked into Zara two days before the event and spotted this adorable LBD hanging on the wall in a corner I felt like it needed to be mine.
For my accessories, I wanted a simple necklace that still made a statement so I opted for a gold and silver choker from Charming Charlie which laid nicely on the dress and finished the look off with a chain bracelet and gold cocktail ring.
It was a steal which made the decision that much easier. Great quality, perfect for fall, crossover wrap silhouette and great fit at $39.90.

Later on that night I took my work chic LBD from day to night by swaping my sliders for silver sandals and my nude lip for a pop color, Rebel lipstick and Nightmoth lip liner by MAC Cosmetics to be exact.
