Happy Monday loves and welcome to February. A lot is happening this month with New York Fashion Week, the Superbowl and of course Valentine’s Day. Everyone knows how anti-Valentine’s Day I am, but I’ve been on this lingerie kick lately and figured a v-day post would be appreciated.

Ever since I started working in the lingerie industry my mindset has changed drastically. Underwear has and will always be an important part of any look and as a stylist/personal shopper I make sure that my clients know that. However, building up your lingerie wardrobe really takes time and learning what type of pieces to wear with different looks is a learned habit. There are so many gorgeous pieces to choose from that there are times when I feel like shopping for lingerie is more fun than shopping for actual clothes. Interesting I know! Nonetheless, for the purpose of Valentine’s Day it does not hurt to add a new piece to your wardrobe.

Here are a few pieces via Journelle that are perfect additions for your v-day look…

The Art of Rocking A One-Piece

Valentine's Day: One-Piece Lingerie

Mauro Grifoni blazer jacket / Miu Miu cropped pants, $245 / Vertige De Lou Bodysuit / Charlotte Olympia platform shoes / Metallic handbag / Style Co jewelry / Moschino earrings / Lou Vertige De Lou Bodysuit

I am obsessed with the look of this Lou Vertige De Lou bodysuit. Sexy is an understatement for this one-piece. Try using it as a top and pairing it with a classic modern suit (in this case a red one), for a tailored and chic look. I added gold accents and specifically wanted to elevate this fit with the black and gold pumps.

The Must Have Two-Piece

Valentine's Day: Two-Piece Lingerie

Blazer dress / Boohoo black maxi dress / ELSE longline bra / ELSE red lingerie / Lulu*s red pumps / Lipsy hand bag, $78 / Lariat necklace / GUESS stackable ring

Typically we all love a good two-piece when it comes to lingerie, but this v-day challenge yourself by stepping outside the box and taking the two-piece up a notch. The detail in this Serenity lace set is stunning and subtle all at the same time. I paired this with a simple black blazer dress and added embellishment with a great clutch and assorted gold rings. The red shoes tied in the red nicely.

A Spin On A Three-Piece Suit

Valentine's Day: Three-Piece Lingerie

Topshop fitted cocktail dress / Myla padded lingerie / Myla thong lingerie / Christian Louboutin sexy black pumps / Edie parker handbag / Black diamond bangle / The Sak metal earrings / Myla Night Mist Non Padded Plunge

Lastly, we have the three piece lingerie set. Adding suspenders (garter belt) is a sexy addition to any lingerie piece. This Myla Night Mist set is chic with a lot of edge. I paired it with a sophisticated white body con dress with splice details and darling black pumps. I specifically love the detail in the lingerie set and in the dress so I wanted to keep the momentum with detail in the accessories. The white dress really provides a great canvas for details.

Which look will you rock this V-day?
