Yesterday I hung out with friends and family in DUMBO, Brooklyn for Essence Street Style Block Party. It was my first time attending the fashionable affair and I had a pretty dope time. Unfortunately, due to parking issues, etc I got there later than I would have liked. I ended up missing a few of the activities, but overall the experience itself was worthwhile.
There were a ton of fashionable people out and about, as well as, fashion style stars such as June Ambrose and plenty of vendors. I was looking forward to saying hello to Mr. Ron Bass, designer extraordinaire, but at least I was able to appreciate the awesome exclusive design he created for the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. Initially, I was also supposed to meet up with some of the fashion bloggers from my new meet up group, NYC Fashion Bloggers, but due to all the fashion week activities things were challenging on that end as well.
So I enjoyed the scenery and mingled amongst the crowd. Then I spent the tail end of the event online waiting to indulge in a delicious pineapple drink from one of the vendors. Although the line was long the wait was DEFINITELY worth it. I wish I had more pictures to share, but as mentioned I arrived late. However, I always have a great time hanging out with my loved ones and we took a few flicks along the way.
