When I decided to start blogging again back in February I made a few goals for myself. One of those goals was to join more networking groups with like-minded people. I wanted to meet fellow bloggers and continue to meet people in the industry to gain knowledge and exposure for my brand.
One of the groups I decided to join was the New York City Fashion Bloggers Meet up Group and I attended my first event with the group earlier this week. The event was charmingly titled “Pamper Me” and it was hosted by Hibba Beauty Studios, a quaint threading and waxing salon in midtown. The spa is owned by beauty expert Hibba Kapil, who did my brows personally. My eyebrows these days have been going through some changes so Hibba and I talked about it and what needs to happen to keep them looking fantastic. I wouldn’t label myself a creature of habit per say, but when it comes to beauty experts I like to stick to the people I know especially with hair and eyebrows. However, I am happy I was able to indulge in this experience. Hibba and her staff were great and really took care of the group.
Overall, It was a great opportunity for me to meet some of the members, drink some wine, get my brows did and I even won a gift certificate in one of the raffles. It was a pleasure meeting fellow NYC bloggers and being included for this beauty outing. I will definitely be attending more events with these ladies so stay tuned for the recaps.
